How we use your information
Auto Sowa Ltd trading as Mobile Mechanic MK is the controller. Contact us using the details below. We use your name, contact details, vehicle information, work address, request and correspondence to assess enquiries, quote and arrange or carry out agreed work. Necessary records may include inspection findings, agreements, invoices and payments. Website security also uses connection, browser and abuse-prevention information. Vehicle or address information may come from licensed lookup providers when needed for a requested job.
Required fields help us assess and reply to the request; providing them is not a separate legal duty. Without necessary details we may need more information before proceeding. You can contact us directly for a general question. Email is used for quotations and documents even if you choose WhatsApp or Text message (SMS) for conversation. Do not send passwords, card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
We rely on requested pre-contract steps and performance of a contract, relevant legal duties, and legitimate interests in handling business contacts, securing our service, keeping necessary service evidence and resolving complaints or claims. The checkbox acknowledges the notices; it is not marketing consent. We do not sell contact details, collect website analytics or automatically add unused enquiries to a permanent customer list. Postcode and date checks assist your request; the mechanic decides whether work and a visit can be accepted.
Providers include Hostinger (hosting/backups), Google Workspace (email/documents), WhatsApp Business when chosen, mobile communications providers, licensed vehicle/address lookup providers and SumUp if you pay by card. Necessary information may reach advisers, insurers, suppliers or authorities where justified; only the details needed for that purpose are shared. Cloudflare Turnstile receives browser/network signals for spam protection and bot-detection improvement. Our verification request does not send your problem description, registration or work address. Its privacy addendum explains its processor and separate controller roles.
Providers may process information in the UK, EEA, US and other countries listed in their applicable terms. Transfers must use UK adequacy arrangements or appropriate safeguards, such as contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. Ask us for the safeguards relevant to your information.
Normal review/deletion periods: unused enquiries, six calendar months after closure; unaccepted quotes, 12 months after expiry; necessary service evidence, six years after completion/termination; resolved service disputes, six years; completed privacy cases, three years. Profiles are reviewed annually and after six years without completed work. Ltd accounting records normally last six years from the financial-year end, with statutory exceptions. Diagnostic and delivery/security review targets are 30 and 90 days. We check necessity and legal holds before disposal; these are not promises of automatic deletion of every copy. Restricted backups and messages need separate expiry or deletion review.
Cookies and similar technologies
The form uses an encrypted host-only session cookie with a 30-minute server session lifetime and a browser-close cookie expiry. Unsent details stay in the open page; closing or reloading may lose them. Necessary security and duplicate-submission records can last longer. No advertising trackers are used.
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or, where applicable, portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests; contact us to do so. Where consent applies, you may withdraw it. Legal conditions and proportionate identity checks apply. Rights requests normally receive a response within one month. We acknowledge privacy complaints within 30 days, investigate without undue delay, keep you informed and explain the outcome. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
