Public review information

The public Places feature reads our business rating, review count and a written review, including the reviewer's public display name, text, rating, date and source/author links. We use that public information under our legitimate interest in helping visitors evaluate our business, with clear attribution and a source link. The website does not create private customer profiles from reviews.

The API call is made by our server with our business Place ID. Our enquiry form's vehicle registration, problem description, customer contact details and work address are not included in that call. The browser does not load an embedded Google review widget or author photograph. If you follow a Google or author link, you open Google's service and its own privacy information applies.

Review content is returned for the current request/visit, without a stored copy for future visitors or a weekly review-text cache. Necessary request-allowance, security and failure metadata do not contain the review text. Google separately handles the API request under its terms and Privacy Policy.

Separate owner connection

The separately configured owner Business Profile OAuth connection uses Google's business.manage scope for the approved owner account. The reviewed integration uses read operations, not posting replies, changing the listing or deleting reviews. Its credentials/account-location settings are held in protected private configuration; they are not placed in the website source, public form or browser. No public review-refresh schedule is operated through that connection. It can be disconnected/revoked by the owner and its private configuration reviewed when it is no longer needed. Revoking that connection does not itself disable the separate Places feature, which has its own setting and credential.

Providers and your rights

Google and other relevant service providers may process information in the UK, EEA, US and other countries listed in their applicable terms. International transfers must use UK adequacy arrangements or appropriate safeguards, such as contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. Contact us for the safeguards relevant to your information. We do not promise UK-only processing or automatic erasure of every provider copy.

You may contact us about access, correction, erasure, restriction or an objection to legitimate-interest use, subject to the applicable legal conditions. Requests normally receive a response within one month. We acknowledge privacy complaints within 30 days, investigate without undue delay, keep you informed and explain the outcome. You can complain to the ICO.
