Google reviews

Our website can show a business rating, review count and a written review from Google Maps, with its author and a link to the source.

How the reviews appear

The current public feature uses Google Places API (New). Our server requests the information when a visitor reaches the reviews section and the feature is enabled. A written review is selected in the relevance order supplied by Google; it is not necessarily the latest. Visitors do not need to sign in to Google.

We do not keep a weekly stored copy of Places review text. If information cannot be retrieved or the configured request allowance is reached, the website retains the link to our Google profile instead of displaying invented review information. The business owner can turn the display off and manage the request allowance in Settings. Google attribution does not mean Google endorses our business.

Owner access is separate

A separate owner-only Business Profile connection was prepared while assessing another integration. That OAuth connection is not used to fetch reviews for the current public Places feature. It does not give visitors access to the business profile, private application or customer records.
